BodyMantra: Cultivating Presence through Stillness and Movement w/ Kimberly Jonas

Connecting to our most present self can be challenging not only to attain, but to sustain.  We often multi-task to a degree that fractures the mind and taxes the body.  Cultivating presence requires attention and intention in order for it to become a natural, daily way of living. Through the practice of BodyMantra, we'll spend the evening exploring the rich landscape of stillness and movement and experience how they cultivate increased presence.   Set to an evocative musical backdrop--world beats, classical, pop and hip hop--BodyMantra focuses primarily on unchoreographed, self-guided movement. Participants will be encouraged to listen to the voice of the body, weaving moments of slow, contemplative movements together with periods of expansive, ecstatic expression. BodyMantra founder Kimberly Jonas facilitates individuals and groups in the exploration and cultivation of the body's innate wisdom.  Through her work as a conscious movement instructor and intuitive counselor, she guides people through passages of profound personal revelation and lasting transformation.   A Reiki Master and poet, Kimberly is known for bringing great curiosity, passion and grace to all of her work. Date:   Saturday, Sept 12, 2015
